road fud # 7: open faced road burger
INGREDIENTS
* 2 veggie mountain burgers
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 1 whole wheat bun
* 1 package sprouts
* 3 tablespoons mayo
* 1 tablespoon paprika
* 5 cloves diced garlic
* 1 tablespoon adobo chipotle sauce
* 4 slices cheddar cheese
* sliced onion
* 1/4 package assorted potatoes
* salt to taste
Fry burgers in olive oil with onions.
Combine mayo, paprika, adobo chipotle sauce and garlic to make delicious spicy aioli.
Heat oven to 450 and roast tiny potatoes until soft and crispy on the outside.
Build 2 open faced burgers with remaining ingredients in this precise order:
bun > spicy paprika mayo > burger > cheese > onions > sprouts
Serve burgers with potatoes.

road fud # 6: goulash by memory
INGREDIENTS
* 1 cup dried texturized vegetable protein
* 1 cup water
* 1 vegetarian "beef" bouillon cube
* 4 tablespoons paprika
* 1 container sour cream
* 1 can plain tomato sauce
* 1 tablespoon parsley
* 1 diced cooking onion
* 6 cloves garlic
* 1 teaspoon black pepper
* dried chilli flakes + salt to taste
* 2 tablespoons fresh chopped chives for garnish
* 3 - 4 tablespoons olive oil
* 1 cup new potatoes
* 1 diced yam
Boil dried texturized vegetable protein in water with beef cube for beef flavour, boil until soft like meat.
Cube potatoes and yams, toss them in 2 tablespoons olive oil and cook on campfire until soft and slightly charred.
Fry onions and garlic in remaining olive oil, add softened/ flavoured tvp bits and continue frying.
Add sour cream, tomato sauce and all spices to tvp / onion mix.
Pile delicious goulash mixture onto campfire potatoes and garnish with chives
Awkward interprovincial conversation with horse riders optional.
